eg. something to wear, something to listen, something to read

It's a lovely idea, not least because of the thought that has gone into it and how personal it will be.

    Something to drink…..

ETA - I did vouchers for my mother which she really appreciated - IT support for when she buggered up her laptop again, seaside trip on a day of her choice, that sort of thing. Most were taking the proverbial but that was the point. :)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Daughter did one last year for someone. It was based on the senses

Something to see - Dvd, theatre tokens/tickets etc

Something to hear - music related

    Something to smell - toiletries

Something to taste - food/drink gifts

Something to touch - cuddly toy/blanket
  • I did this for my Mum for her birthday in the summer. It went down well, but was so expensive to put together! It's surprising how fast it all added up and I spent way more that I usually would.  I guess if it's your Mum it's ok!

What kind of things did you put in
  • Hello everyone! It's a great idea, I think this concept would work well for an Advent calendar (where you can use travel versions or product trials).
  • I think this is a great idea. I did something similar for my husbands birthday but did a gift for each of the 5 senses so;

    Sight: camera
    Hearing: music cd
    Touch: soft gloves
    Smell: favourite aftershave
    Taste: favours to sweets
