It's not a new question, but I'd love to collate some ideas for 2021.
🧁 What are your best vegan recipes for Christmas? 🎄
I'd love to hear about dinner, sides, snacks, pudding - anything and everything. What about the eggnog?
Got photos? Even better.
Yes, it's only the start of November. But for anyone who missed out on a family Christmas last year, or for the super well-prepared Forumites, what's the harm in thinking ahead?

Hi Laura, this time last year I made Delia's mincemeat in the slow cooker rather than the oven and used Vegetable Atora suet which says on the packet that it is extremely suitable for vegetarians. I looked at the ingredients which are various vegetable fats and wheat flour so I can't see why it wouldn't be okay for vegans. I should think you could use just about any fat which is a solid at room temperature so coconut oil or Trex or the Naturli butter are alternatives that could be substituted for the suet. The flavour of all the other ingredients in the recipe is so strong that I'm sure you wouldn't notice any difference in taste at all.
Here's mine before I put it into jars.

Goodness me @goldfinches, that looks awesome. I've always wanted to make my own mince pies from scratch, and I have a slow cooker. Thank you for this. 🙏0

We did an entire vegan Christmas dinner for 8 a few years ago, when one of the daughters was vegan. Rather than a 'normal' Christmas dinner, with a nut roast on the side for the vegan, we did the nut roast as the main event and had a few slices of turkey 'on the side' for the carnivores who couldn't cope for one meal without meat.We went heavy on the veggies - sprouts with chestnuts, carrots, parsnips and beetroot roasted together (really colourful!!), roast potatoes and mashed potatoes (using vegan butter for the mashing, of course), and we had vegan sausages etc for the 'trimmings', I think I might have made bread sauce using soy milk. And the nut roast formed the centre piece. Pudding was a choice of bought vegan Xmas pud, or a home-made fruit compote. There was a bit of whingeing from a couple of the guys, who wanted meat - but hey.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...5

@trailingspouse, this was an incredible effort.
And shame on the guys who whinged at being served a slap-up Christmas meal!3 -

I've done lots of vegan winter solstice dinners over the years never had any of the carnivores complain - but then they all know that solstice is the main festival for me so they associate it with a vegan feast 🤔
Anyway, this year's menu will be:
Starters - salad leaves with peach, apricot and avocado pan fried in vegan butter and amaretto topped with crumbled macadamia 'cheese'
Main - filo parcels (portobello mushroom topped with stuffing and cranberry sauce wrapped in filo pastry), slow cooked red cabbage, dijon and maple parsnips and carrots
Dessert - raw caramel apple mini cheesecakes, white 'chocolate' pots and 'chocolate' orange cake bites
