A big advantage of a wireless thermostat is that you can move it around until you find the best location to satisfy your heating requirements.
As others have said it's a good idea to ensure that your system is balanced so that all the available heat is more evenly distributed. Having the thermost in the main living area can affect the heating system, especially when there are several people in the room and perhaps the telly and other stuff contributing heat a kicking the stat off before the rest of the place is warm enough.
Zone heating can help but the system needs to be configured into heating zones using motorised valves and thermostats for the individual zonesNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
