All of the countries are discussing climate change. But what can we do ?

I got a sponge with soap inside it last Xmas. It has a smooth side and a rough side and once the soap ran out it has now transformed into a cleaning sponge, it’s great for the shower screen. I always seem to have lots of those shower net things that come in gift packs too.
I did wonder whether knitting or crocheting a scrubbie from string. Might be a bit hard on the fingers making it though.
I’ve kept the elasticated bits of the skirts I cut up to use as scrubbies.
Instead of buying new glasses I picked up two small wine glasses from a CS for 25p each. Bargain.
Still no heat on here. We’re sat with the windows open, lovely.

We use a halogen oven a lot as it is much cheaper than our electric oven and uses much less power. A while ago I made a big blackberry and apple crumble using apples from the tree at our GP surgery (free to anyone who wants them) and tons of hedgerow blackberries. Crumble made from store cupboard bits

Here are a few changes we have implemented over the past couple of weeks.
Introduced a minimum of one vegetarian meal every week. In practice this has left enough left overs for a second main meal, or lunch the following day.
I have an ancient gas oven and hob. My electricity is purchased from a renewable source hence, I've moved across to using my multi-cooker and remoska as much as possible. Gas oven has been used only once this week by OH.
Previously I would wear clothing once or twice (depending on item) before throwing it in the wash. I'm still working from home and nobody can see if there is mud on the hem of my jeans so, I now aim to get 3-4 days from a pair of jeans and at least one extra wear from a jumper etc. I've also swopped to using the quick wash (15mins) cycle on the washing machine. We moved to washing with room temperature water some months ago.
I have three large carrier bags of donations ready and will walk these over to the charity shop on Friday.
My electric toothbrush is reaching the end of its life. I am swopping to closed loop toothbrushes as suggested by an earlier poster, thank you for the suggestion / recommendation.
Thanks to an earlier poster I've come to realise that I have been taking two showers on a couple of days every week. Once at home and once at the pool. I have cut out these extra showers and strip wash instead. I have also moved to washing my hair once every three days instead of every other day. I have solid shampoo already, and have solid conditioner waiting in the wings for when the last plastic bottles of conditioner are used up.
Small changes to add to what we are already doing and each of them a step towards our household obtaining net zero.6
