The hell in Heliodor

Posting this in the hope that someone will have a solution for me! After spending 14 years and at least 40k in over charged interest as a mortgage prisoners and following divorce and redundancy I finally managed to edge my way out of negative equity so decided to sell my house and rent a place! With my severance slowly dwindling away and the threat of interest rate increases I accepted the inevitable conceded defeat only to be advised by Heliodor that if I sell my house and fully repay my mortgage they will triple the interest rate on my loan! I advised their helpline colleague this would leave me unable to afford rent and was politely referred to my terms and condition! I can only assume this was detailed with the other terms and conditions stating the government could sell my mortgage to a foreign loan shark and deprive me of rates available to the rest of the mortgage market as I also wasn’t aware of that either! So it appears Heliodor do truly have me imprisoned until I run out of money and they repossess my house!!

This sounds like the terms of a Northern Rock Together unsecured loan. When it is de-linked from a mortgage, the rate increases. This isn't Heliodor. This is the original NR T&C.
