Wimbledon to Watford Junction

Basically next year I'll be going to the theatre in Wimbledon. Now I thought as I was saying the night in Wimbledon, I would go to the Universal Studios Tours the next day. Now I understand it will take a bit of time, but what is the way to get from Wimbledon to Watford junction on a Sunday preferably on the Underground. I'll need to get to Watford Junction at around 9 am.
With many thanks.

I would think the tube fairly slow and irregular at that time of the morning on a Sunday. Have you considered Wimbledon to West Brompton (District Line) and to Watford on the Overground? The TFL Journey planner is worth a look. Tough to get there by 9a.m. on a Sunday morning.2

Update: As I was staying at Premier Inn near Wimbledon, I've just called them and transferred my booking from their Wimbledon hotel to their Watford one. As it should be a bit easier getting from Wimbledon to Watford in the early afternoon, than early morning.
Thanks for your help everyone.1
