Full and final settlement query

Good morning all, I've put a post into the debt free diary forum if anyone wants to know the full story.
Basically I sent an offer for 30% of my total debts to all creditors yesterday as F&F payments. My biggest creditor emailed me today accepting the offer I made without countering which was a fantastic result. I've attached the email I was sent, removing all personal information.
My query was whether this is adequate evidence or do I need to get any more assurances in regards to how they'll mark my credit file etc? Also is an email fine or should I ask them to provide this in a letter?
Thanks.

I think in this instance you're OK. Print and keep a copy.
It's unambiguous though brief. I think a judge would accept that if needed. Credit Unions are not likely to screw you over like a Debt Collection Agency might. I don't think you need to make them jump through any more hoops.

I would definitely get this in writing, I would send your offer in writing and make sure they respond in writing on letterheaded paper. I would send your request recorded delivery.
I am just saying this without any real experience of this but knowing how easy it is to create and delete email addresses, you would have little recourse to say this was settled if they don't play ball.1 -
Also make sure when they write to confirm that they are happy with the offer they also confirm that they will not try to recover the rest at a later date or sell it on.1
