Help wanted with Samsung U600!

Hi I had a Samsung U600 bought for me recently and the pictures come out rather red or yellowy. The image through the lens looks fine but when the picture actually takes the result is a bit disapponting. I can go on edit and get it quite a lot better but not as I would like it. It has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which is the same as my last digital camera and so I think the results should be better than they are. Most of my settings are on auto, only because I haven't fiddled enough to know what does what. Anybody have any suggestions what the problem could be? Have to add that when I first had the phone I got it exchanged as they thought it was a fault, but this one is same. Also the exposure metering says Matrix, Centre weighted or Spot, any ideas what these are?
