Spectacle adjustment now vision is distorted?

I recently purchased some new spectacles from a well known opticians. The spectacles were delivered by post because it was easier, when the specs arrived the glasses did not fit very well, I took them back to the opticians who carried out an adjustment. Since the adjustment was made there is now a lot of distortion with the vision, looking at the glasses the lenses are curved more and even the glasses case will not close properly.
I am not sure if the glasses have been adjusted correctly because they are so curved? Is it normal for adjustments to be made by just curving the lenses?

No that angle would be unusual. Normally a slight bow.
You need to go back in.
Either the specs can be adjusted or the frame is unsiutable0
