Cold call BT6 'MONEYEXPERT.COM'

Just had a weird doorstep cold call from a girl trying to engage me about broadband, being very evasive about who she was from (was very smiley/couldn't stand still). When directly asked she said "money expert, we represent them all".
Her badge said moneyexpert.com. She did not explicitly say moneysavingexpert.com or try to represent as being from MSE.
No idea if she was genuine, but I gave her short shrift just in case.
This confirms what I knew - not in any way related to MSE: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2016/04/warning-money-expert-cold-callers-are-nothing-to-do-with-moneysavingexpertcom/

Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!

"No idea if she was genuine". Doesn't sound like she was. Did she show you any ID? We have one of those small yellow notices that the police give out every now and then at the side of our door. It says "we will not buy anything at this door. If you don't have an appointment, don't bother knocking". And then there's a police logo and the word 'police' in block capitals. If we are not expecting anyone, we don't ever answer the door. Most especially not in coronavirus times. I mean, do you even know whether or not she had been double-vaxxed? We've also got a notice to say we're still isolating and there's no chance we're opening the door. So really, quite unfriendly on our doorstep! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Had another one of these call again today. Said he was from "money experts". He was on his way out the gate, but I didn't notice a badge. We also have one of those yellow stickers, but I was trying to get a wee bit more info from him. Started asking about broadband, but said they do electric and gas comparisons too. I asked again where he was from and he said "money experts" from the Lisburn Road.0

Might they be from this lot... interesting font on that headline, isn't it?
Not trying to copy anyone or anything.... I'm sure.

Looks like a bog standard switching service, but if they got through your front door, they'd be trying to get you to switch everything, no doubt. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
