I’ve successfully challenged by CT band from D to C. Received letter from VOA and so emailed the council 2-3 weeks ago with a copy of the letter asking them to reissue a bill and advise of rebate.
so obviously the remaining balance is clear enough to understand and the remaining payments will cover that, but what are the other things meaning?
i.e. what’s the difference between outstanding for other years and all years?
Would it be that the £564.76 is for the (around) 2 years I was living with my ex partner and the the £1027.22 is for the years living in the property with single person discount?
therefore the amount I am owed is both of these figures?
thanks in advance -
Last night I received a letter advising of change in band for last year 20/21 (weird?)
I’ve logged into my online account and can see payments for this year have reduced from next month and it’s showing the following

Remaining Balance for 01.04.2021 - 31.03.2022
£462.46
Credits Outstanding for Other Financial Years
- £1027.22
Credits Outstanding for All Financial Years
- £564.76

No, just the £564. That's the remaining credit after deducting the £1027 from your remaining bill of £462.0

So I’m confused - 7 years of being in the wrong band and what I’m owed is £564? Yet they will still continue to take money from me monthly for this tax year
ive overpaid approximately £200 a year for 7 years? That doesn’t seem right?0
