Competition's fierce in the current account switching market right now, with some banks offering £100+ in cash or vouchers to switchers. So whether you want better service, interest on your savings or just free cash – changing your day-to-day bank account can be well worth doing (see Best bank accounts). But when did you last do it? And if it's been a while, why?

What the poll doesn't capture is if it would be wise for you to change accounts. I've been with First Direct since last century, but it continually tops the rankings. Should I have changed in that time? Probably not
