100% eligibility on soft search

So I’ve applied for a loan at Sainsburys (who I’ve read are notorious for declining people).
I’ve been 100% approved on ClearScore for a Nationwide loan, and 60% for a Sainsburys loan (much better interest).
however on the Sainsburys website, I’ve pre applied with a ‘soft search’ and it’s 100% likely to approve me.
anyone had any experience of a 100% likelihood and been declined? Why would it give a different score on a soft search and on ClearScore? Now I’m torn between which to go for

There is always a chance you can be declined.
Sainsbury's are going to have a better idea of what their criteria are than a 3rd party hence the different chances quoted.0 -
Always know there’s a chance but didn’t look at it from that point so thank you.sparklep0ny said:There is always a chance you can be declined.

makes sense, both nationwide and sainsburys say likely to be approved with Sainsburys giving a percentage. I guess a soft search from them is better than a ClearScore search0
