Warning of phone call stating Instagram follower

Be careful there is a phone call from 0161986056 stating you have won the runner up prize from "British Escapes" they are wanting £17.99 each for breakfast !!!  They stated on my answering machine ( didnt answer as my mobile classed it as a sales call ) that I have followed them on Instagram

A company shouldn't be able to get your mobile number from following on Instagram, it sounds like they got your details from somewhere else. Could you have entered here? https://www.britishescapes.co.uk/promotion/
It sounds like those holiday companies that end up making you pay for a holiday in other ways, classing it as a prize when you are actually paying for the package.
Always be cautious of any calls or winning emails/messages.

No I have not entered on that link, maybe a comp I have entered via another way.......I was surprised at it all so will change my title to a more fitting one

Now they have rung me on 01746 557005 stating from Great Escapes.....same firm yet changed companies ....now blocked

I had a Reward Breaks one. I'm not sure if it's a scam or a timeshare (ultimately the same thing). It was a sign-up linked from Instagram I think.
