Trying to eliminate plastic waste
Comments
-
As well as soft plastics, Sainsbury's advertise hard plastic recycling in some stores. This covers things like punnets, pots and trays from yogurt and mushrooms and the like.
I've been doing this for about a month now and it does mount up.
The only trouble is that it's so popular locally that the skip in the car park is overflowing every time I've visited.
I did speak to Customer Service in store, who said a third party operated it and they have no control over when it's emptied. That surprised me as the skips are painted in Sainsbury's orange livery. I tried to contact Sainsbury's but they seem to favour Twitter and Facebook (which I don't do) over email or speaking to people. 🤔
Hopefully it will be sorted, otherwise it just feels like a bit more greenwashing.1
