Tesco applications

My son applied for a job at Tesco which he did not get due to failing on the psychometric questions. Since then further posts have become available but if he applies there is no opportunity to take the test again, the application seems to just skip that part as if it will use his earlier test result. Is there a set period of time he needs to leave it before reapplying in order to do the test again? The Tesco careers website doesn’t have any information on this.

I'm guessing Tesco take the view that the test, once done, cannot be repeated as changing responses will simply be to provide false data. He may not be able to retake once submitted.

For confirmation I think you (or your son) would be better off contacting Tesco direct as policies will be company dependent.
It wouldn't surprise me if they hold them on file for a little while but there likely is a limit.

Psychometric test results have been shown to be stable over fairly long periods of time; retaking the tests will a) cost Tesco (as they pay every time one is used and b) give a very similar result.
Unless there was a reason why he wouldn't have performed as usual, it may be that this just isn't a match for him.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24001 -
From a GDPR standpoint there must be a limit to how long they can hold his test results, unless you could argue that the son might still be applying for jobs at age 80 so they can keep the info for 64 years!0
