Bankruptcy in Northern Ireland climbing

Good Evening everybody. I am new to this site so bare with me . I’m about to go bankrupt £25k in debt credit card and loans. My question is has anybody dealt with the Official Receiver in Belfast as I’m dreading the interview Does he/she take all your extra income for an IPA. Can you also keep your broadband. A family member has offered to pay the BR fee. It’s a pity that the BR procedure is different here as I have to go the the court to petition the bankruptcy first.

    Hi there
Sorry, can't comment on Northern Ireland, but in in answer to two of your questions:

    - If you are deemed to have a disposable income of above £20 after paying all of your accepted expenses, yes, you will likely have to pay an IPA. If you post your budget/statement of affairs on here, people will be able to give you some feedback on your budget and whether you would likely get an IPA.

-You should be able to "keep your broadband" if you are not in arrears with the payments and the cost is not excessive.
