Groupon admonished by UK regulator and told to give full cash refunds to customers who need it
I've had two emails from Groupon offering me a cash refund instead of the "Groupon Bucks" that they gave me when I cancelled two vouchers (unused due to the pandemic). However the links in the email don't work - one seems to be trying to send me to a google doc which seems odd, and at the top it says "Dear Valued Groupon Customer" rather than my name. Other than that the emails look legitimate. If they are genuine, does anyone have the link to request the conversion to a cash refund? Or could it be a very legit looking spam email? It's from notify AT r grouponmail co uk (with dots instead of spaces!)
(Reading the MSE story, there's no sign of the banner on the Groupon website yet either...)
