Hi folks. Just wondering whether anyone has any advice. Looking for a high street source of sugar-free sweets, ideally as close to a traditional boiled sweet or fruit drop as possible. To help relieve a mouth condition. Any suggestions? Not sure where to post this so hoping Old Stylers can help.

Im sure Aldi sell them by the checkouts in little boxes. I seem to remember strawberry, maybe rhubarb and some mints.2

I buy these from Morrisons - not cheap (83p each when bought these the other day) but as I only treat myself to one or two every so often, I don't mind.

I'm sure I've seen some sugar free versions in among the massed sweet temptations at the checkout in M&S, I've tried googling and quite a lot of flavours came up so I think it's worth your dropping in if you have a local branch.
We used to have an independent chemist locally who stocked the Ricola range and they had some delicious sounding flavours so suggest you try looking for somewhere local to you that stocks them. Ricola sugar free herbal sweets & throat lozenges | Ricola1 -

The M&S ones appear to be hugely expensive.

Please be aware that eating a full packet of sugar-free sweets will induce a diarrhea that exceeds that of usual sugar sweets. I don't know what quantity of sugar-free sweets the "mouth condition" requires, but be aware you might be on the toilet a lot.

most sweets that contain xylotol (sp?) sweetener seem to warn against excess due to the digestional distress they might cause. I notice this when I get a cold and have more Airwaves gum - works very well as a unintentional laxative!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I wonder if chewing/swallowing the equivalent of sugar cane would have the same effect. Modern society condemns sugar but if you eat it in its raw form...?
