Incorrect payslip?

Hi. I left my company on the end of july. On 25th of august i get my last paylip (i supposed to get paid for last week of july + outstanding holiday). Normally in previous months if we had any furlough deduction it was take off from basic pay and 70%furlough was added. On may last payslip i dont have basic pay but they still put covid deduction and then add 70%furlough +10%top . Is this this correct? Can someone help please

Furlough for July was paid at 80% by HMRC, which is what the top slip says. In August the government contribution reduced to 70% with the employer having to pay 10%. So that looks right to me. Same amount (80%) paid to you, what is different is who pays what.

  • Thank you for your reply.. What about  - £ 408 which was taken off? If they pay me 70%+10% furlough + shift allowance +holiday top up my wage will be higher. Can they make furlough deduction (-408.62) if there is no basic pay(which you can see on previous payslips)?

Your employer cannot claim furlough for you during your notice period and so you may have been owed full pay. I would suggest a call to ACAS - make sure you have your furlough agreement handy as they will need to understand the terms in place at your company.
