Can anyone advice?
I'm currently on sick leave, (2 weeks left)
Due back on the 19th October. However I want to leave, and not return back to work. Do I hand my notice in now or wait till my sick not runs out. I don't want any issues with my pay.

What notice period are you on?0

There is nothing to prevent you submitting your notice whilst on sick leave. I'm not sure what your concerns about pay are as you will still be paid for the notice period.

Whilst they can certainly hand in their notice when off sick, whether they will be paid anything above statutory sick pay is less clear. It depends on a number of factors to do with the terms of their employer's company sick pay scheme (if any) and whether their contractual notice is greater than the statutory default of one week.TELLIT01 said:There is nothing to prevent you submitting your notice whilst on sick leave. Sam - an employee only ever has to give a week's notice to leave unless their contract requires more.1 -
It's not the employee notice that determines if full pay is due.Undervalued said:

It is if the employer contractual is a week more than statutory which is 1 week per years service full pay is not due
If they qualify then If the employee resigns the are due 1week full pay.0 -
Indeed.
My post wasn't very clear worded and with hindsight reads the wrong way.0
