Any recent applications for Santander additional borrowing on top of mortgage?

Hello, just wondering if anyone has recent experience getting additional borrowing from Santander (if you have an existing Santander mortgage). 
Planning some home renovations so would like to just understand their process, whether approval was straightforward, etc. I know max LTV is 85%, have completed their online affordability check, etc. Just wondering how the process after that is,

Can give them a call and run things through them before making a full application.
Seems similar to other banks.
They will do affordability and  value the property.
