0845 numbers

I recently made a call to an 0845 number. I found the name of the place on line and was just calling to enquire about an item costing a mere £4 but when my phone bill arrived the cost of the call had come to almost £9.  In the old days 0845 was cheaper, now it's like a premium number. What I wanted to ask is if there is anyway of trying to claw that money back now that there are so many support groups!  The firm itself was not particularly helpful and has ignored me.

I would make a complaint with your phone provider.

Ultimately what ever it was you were buying must have been unusual or was from a supplier that doesnt care one bit about its customers except extracting money out of them via 0845 phone calls if they buy or not !

Its a interesting post because if you are paying £9 to make a £4 purchase ringing 0845 its obviously a baited trap .
Pity you cant let us know more so others are aware of the trap

0845 (non-geographical number) have always been expensive - well for the last 20 years or so anyway
