You don't even need to pay NI, as long as you earn £120 per week you will get a full week credit without paying anything

Not now, for someone as young as you are. The state pension is flat rate for someone currently in their 30s.goodwithsaving said:
There's a basic one and then if people have paid x years in with full NI rates, they get the additional state pension. This was related to many occupational pension contributors paying a reduced rate of NI, and so they get the basic state pension.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Thank you. In that case, I will move to the salary sacrifice option and take the additional £50 home each month. It will be helpful to be honest. Thank you all for your help, I'm very grateful to have this forum.1

In all honesty I don't see my age group getting a state pension,
Think about these points
I think something like over 80% of over 60's vote in general elections . A much higher % than younger people.
If you were the Prime Minister , stopping the state pension would be political suicide.
Now do you think it will ever happen ?
The age when you draw it will creep upwards to maybe 70 .
