How long have you been comping?

I used to comp over 10 years ago and then left as I had young children but now my kids are older I have free time and have recently got back into it since August

Not sure exactly but over 20 years. Sure was easier to win back then too

I entered the odd competition before, but got more serious with my comping in April 2016.
I definitely have to put in more time entering now though, then when I first started.

Since 1988, when I won a runner up prize of a case of very good champagne in a Schweppes competition. Anyone remember it? First prize was a villa in Spain, Jaguar car, speedboat and cash and  you had to estimate the distance between Trafalgar Square in London and the centre of Marbella.

Always did a few here and there but didnt start regular comping until Sept 2011. I started then to keep track of my wins each month in a notebook ( its fun to look back )  so 10 years plus. I probably dont do as many now as I used to and the wins seem much fewer

I've been comping for many years now, well before social media started.

I think my first postcard entries were done using a quill and inkpot!

I did come on here for about a month after my sister had had some wins but then I left it for a few years. Started doing it seriously in Dec 2019 and haven't looked back! I wish I had got into it sooner. I've saved so much money and I won some great prizes

I'm a newbie. Less than 12 months.

I entered a booktrust competition after receiving my little boys new born reading pack on a whim and won. Started looking at how I could comp more seriously and ended up here. 🙂

First wins would have been about 1978/79 but only dabbled before giving it a go late 2009 to around 2 years ago (total from comps and surveys somewhere over 30k)
