Populus £50 reward

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone used the BACS transfer to deposit the £50 reward into your account, and if hyperwallet or populus charge a small fee for doing so?

Thanks!

No fee to us as receivers.  (I've now received two lots of £50 this way.)

Populus Live is a survey site, and earning 50 points is when you are sent the reward of £50.
  • Only just seen this thread, a little late but I too have had a couple of £50 payments by BACS and both went through fine with no fees charged.

And yes it's a survey site which offers points for your time spent filling in a survey (they say roughly five minutes per £1, different surveys are different lengths so offer different rewards) but I tend to find it can take longer than that.

It also can take a very long time to accumulate enough points to get to £50.  Looking back, it seems to take me about a year to get to £50 and the last survey I was sent was over three weeks ago.  And much of the time you might not be eligible, either because they say they've collected enough samples from your demographic (age, location,  job status etc) or for some other reason.  E.g. they might have a survey about buying a new mobile phone handset but if you say you haven't bought a new handset recently and are not thinking of doing so in the foreseeable future, you don't get offered the rest of survey, and hence no points.  I would be interested to know if others fare better.

It seems to take me a bit under a year to reach £50.
I keep a note only of those which I completed but do not get screened out of many these days.
So far this month I've had just one survey for £3.
In October there were three (£7)
    September had five (£12)

I used to get populus surveys most days. Now I reckon to get one every few weeks. No idea what’s changed but it’s going to take a long time to get the next £50.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I had a payout on 1 October and am already at 50 points again so next payout 1 December.
Bit faster than normal this time as previously paid out 1 May.

Sometimes it goes quiet for a few weeks then I get absolutely loads. Qualified for 8 so far this month and been sent more than that.

It's been very hit-and-miss for me this year. Some months I will get loads of surveys, others pass with none. My last £50 payout was in September, and I've been stuck at 33 points since then!
