This is what Redx is referring to...KeithP said:
The CCBC will send you a letter saying the Claimant had twenty eight days to consider your Defence. What you don't know is when the CCBC sent a copy of your Defence to the Claimant. It follows from that that it is not known when the Claimant has to respond to the CCBC.Further, we don't know what delays there are in the CCBC that means they don't send you a DQ as promptly as you might like. Can I suggest that you keep checking your MCOL Claim History and as soon as you see that the CCBC has sent a DQ to you, you are ready to download a DQ, complete it and fire it back to the CCBC, remembering to send a copy to the Claimant of course.
Now, please no more posts on this thread. Please keep all posts about your one parking incident on one thread. Thanks.

It can be long. My alleged "contravention" was in early 2019 and then came the PCN - I disputed this invoice and did not engage for a variety of reasons. Within less than a month came letters from 2 seperate Debt Chaser companies. Then came letters from 2 seperate solicitors - all adding different and continual rising fees on top which again I knew to be unlawful/ abuse of process so ignored as I didn't think they'd have the audacity to try their luck in court (one was actually threatening to get a CCJ, baliffes and wreck my life - with no mention of a court hearing!) so I ignored. March 2020 I get the AoS then a month or so later the DQ then in mid July it was transferred to my local small claims court then the last activity was in the end of last month where the claimants were ordered to respond to my defence which they did within the deadline and now I'm currently waiting. So this gives a rough timeline of how long it takes. In the meantime there was a pandemic - but they were still sending begging letters/ threat-o-grams including an LBC which I never actually receieved (which was dated in 2020). Sorry to go on, but I hope this gives you an idea of the process and times.4

Mine was over 5 years ago and after lots of letters have got to this point ..older people who are not computer savy have no chance of dealing with the paperwork ..but i suppose a ccj won't mean a lot to them at that age ..1

I think people are getting wiser to their tricks thanks to this Forums like this, Facebook groups and other good online resources. Not too mention YouTube videos of features on Watchdog, Rip Off Britain etc plus endless newspaper reports! I think people in general are now more questioning of things (which is good) and with the way the economy is most of us can't be throwing good money away on something which smacks of a total stitch up! The PPCs will hopefully hemorrhage even more cash when people fight back. A lot seem to cut and run at the final hour as they know they are on a lower when they get a witness statement exposing their systematic bull$*/t and played out con tricks!D_P_Dance said:Many PPCs are hoovering up old alleged trangressions as they are bleeding money.2
