Halifax outgoings

Hi - we have our mortgage application interview soon and was told to prepare income and outgoings.

Will they just want to know regular credit payments or also things like food shopping, utilities etc or do they just use national averages for this?

I wasn't asked about utilities or food shopping. I was obviously asked about my credit card debt and possibly about my pension payments (can't remember if they asked the amount but my pension was definitely discussed).

Though it does not all go into the application, they will ask you about all of the above.

I was asked about my 'main' expenses apart from rent and I mentioned only my kid's nursery payments. No discussion on groceries, utilities, holidays etc. I was also asked what my average credit balance is. I think both my AIP and main application interviews were identical and we didn't spend too much time on this.
