Switch bank account and potential future mortgage application

Hi,
There is a chance I might need to apply for a mortgage at some point soon. It could be a few months or next year.
I have an excellent credit position. A few mortgage advisors months ago told me that I shouldn’t have problems getting a mortgage from a variety of lenders based on my financial circumstances.
I have a few current accounts, but my main one has been Santander for a number of years, but I want to move away from them.
Should I be concerned about the implications of switching for a mortgage application? Would keeping statements be enough? How far back?

It is unlikely to be a deal breaker you switching banks, but it is one of those things that frustrates me when people switch banks a month or 2 before a mortgage application. It just makes things more complicated as we have to go through bank statements and follow the trail of transactions and money for money laundering so it just makes my job and the underwriters that bit harder.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
