I am at least sensible enough to hold the belief that losses on paper are just that, they aren't realised until you sell. I've no intention of doing that. I'll just hold firm.
As far as risk profile is concerned I'm afraid I need to go hard to hit a target. No massive wage for me, no 40% relief on the way in, just good old fashioned MSE cutting your cloth and saving (No frothy coffees or smashed avacado on toast ;-).
It's kind of a shoot for the stars and you might hit the moon situation. Even if I don't get to my target I will still be extremely comfortable in retirement.
The best bit of advice/reminder I had on this thread was to look at the current dip as an opportunity to buy more stock at a discount. It's that sort of advice I find reading reassuring. :-)0 -

It's not a problem if you know you can keep your emotions in check. I topped up my RB holding on the 28th July. Had I left it a week then the 5% gains since would have been halved.
I've never sold on daily large changes either way. Sold a -50% which had been a -50% for 18 months for me. That was nice looking at that every day.1
