There are lots of tariffs listed though. My guess is we get stuck on "Flexible October 2021" which looks like their latest variable rate one.
Be prepared for a shock coming from Green though ;-)1 -
I'm not suggesting they're not Shell, they are. But you can be sure if they need to exit the market, it will be well detached from Shell 'proper'. Yep - first utility that's the one!brewerdave said:
It was formerly First Utility. On the Shell Energy website ,they use the Shell logo plus customers get discounts at Shell forecourts (when they have petrol!!) and there are links for Shell Energy from the main RDS UK website !!zoonyx said:
You can bet your bottom dollar Shell Energy is well protected and seperated from Shell UK. Also isn't it just a rebrand on an existing even-smaller supplier?brewerdave said:
Its SHELL !!daaave said:They’re a small supplier though….0 -

Be prepared for a shock coming from Green though ;-)Thank you, that's helpful.I'm sure I read somewhere on their site earlier that the tariff was to be a "Go Further 2023 plus Shop" one but I can't find it now or remember what month it said.0 -
Those figures for flexible October 2021 are higher for south west than any calculation I can do on the price cap, even with VAT added... weird.GraceF125 said:indigoben said:

It's definitely not Go Further though - those are all well over price cap.
Edit: Asked them on twitter, they said "We’re moving all Green customers onto our flexible tariff, which is protected by Ofgem’s price cap." - so Flexible October 2021 looks like a good bet.
Edit 2: The Direct Debit tariff for South West is https://imageassets.shellenergy.co.uk/tariff-guides-rmr/ISEOEDV940SR/ISEOEDV940SR1R_LDDPN.pdf - these tariffs match the price cap listed by Ofgem for "Standard Credit" but, that PDF clearly shows that's the direct debit rate... We assumed the lower price for "Other Payment Method" listed in OFGEM's price cap document was direct debit, and standard credit was normal. So either we (and @jimjames 's calculator) is wrong, or Shell have made a mistake...
Edit 3: Found the following:We refer to direct debit through this appendix. Direct debit payment is used to set the values for payment method defined as “Other Payment Method” in the standard licence conditions (SLC 28AD).
So, looks like Shell have made a mistake in their Flexible October 2021 tariffs.3 -
I'm SW too but dual fuel. The electricity tariff is lower than your single one https://imageassets.shellenergy.co.uk/tariff-guides-rmr/ISDFEDV940SR/ISDFEDV940SR1R_HDDPN.pdf although it says Southern Region for my postcode.

Just anxious to find out the tariff now, information just seems to be the usual blurb of "sit back and relax, don't switch, your supply won't be cut off etc
" Do people seriously believe that when their supplier goes bust your electricity and gas just suddenly gets cut off?
Does seem like loads of tariffs listed for my location and details etc. Was thinking we'd get something variable within a £1 of the cap? Mine is set to be almost twice as much as I was paying at Green (from £45 a month to around £80)0 -
Looking at the TIL for the non direct-debit version (https://imageassets.shellenergy.co.uk/tariff-guides-rmr/ISEOEDV940SR/ISEOEDV940SR1R_LCCPN.pdf) the prices are the same, so I think maybe they've just made a mistake on the tariff information label.GraceF125 said:I'm SW too but dual fuel.
