Water saving shower heads

Am after a shower head that has decent pressure and feels like still having a good shower, but also saves water (and gas!) any recommendations from people on here for good ones appreciated!

Apologies I can't name one, but the heads that draw in air are excellent. They really feel like increased water for the same water, or the same water for less water. Nothing special about them, and quite cheap and available too.

We've got a couple of EcoCamel Jetstorm shower heads - one came with our caravan and we liked it sufficiently to replace the one in the house as well. Not sure which version we've got (they do a Jetstorm E for lower pressure systems). Our house pressure is around 2.5bar but the caravan is a lot less

They both give a decent shower at around 6 litre/min. My daughter also has one.

In the end they are a bit like most things, you have to try them to see if they do what you want.

We have flow restrictors on all of our taps

  • We have a Mira "eco" shower head that sends out rapid beats of water rather than a continuous stream.  It gives an excellent shower although it can be a bit noisy at some flow rates.  I have no idea if it saves as much water as is claimed.

I've checked the output of our Ecocamels and the one indoors delivers about 6lpm - takes about one minute and forty seocnd to fill a ten litre bucket (haven't tried measuring the output in the caravan although we can both get a shower out of eight litres of hot water mixed with cold - turning the shower off between soaping and rinsing)).

Of course you only save water if you dont stand under it for ages - I can do a full shower including washing my hair in less than two minutes, my wife takes a little longer.
