Hi
I have worked for a well known shop for 2 years and religiously been paid on time. They were bought out not so long ago due to administration. Things are still very strange at work, incorrect staffing and major health and safety issues ets
It’s pay day and no one has been paid! No explanation at all and very odd it’s never happened even during administration. Can anyone tell me my rights please?

Asking them what has happened would seem to be a good starting point. It may be that the money will go in later today, given that it is only 8 am.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
It would take significantly more time to enforce your rights than it would to ask your employer where your wages are. If they are due today, then they are not yet overdue.1

Sorry to be blunt, can you ask the Employer direct? you could make out you wonder if you've missed any update.
I know how sick a feeling it is not to receive wages, when it last happened it did turn out the expected payday had shifted and was one of the first indications of error within employment contract. Just fortunately I was receiving payslips that indicated payday was actually another date so from the 28th to the 30th it was, otherwise I would have just had to ask.
Whilst I haven't ever worked in retail, I have experienced receiving of wages as late in day as 7pm.

If you are at work ask verbally and if you are elsewhere, ask in writing. I assume that because you know other people haven't been paid you've been asking other people about this so all of you should make payroll or hr aware. No doubt some have already if personal bank transfers or rent payments havent been able to go ahead. Did you get a new contract with the company buyout, changing pay date? Is this the first payday since this new buyout, i.e. dis they get it right last month, but not this month? I have no idea what changes can be made when a company is bought out0

Given the situation as you describe this doesn't sound like an oversight or date error. I hope you're spending the weekend searching the job market. I would call your manager before you bother going in tomorrow and short of getting paid immediately or a very plausible reason, I wouldn't go in and work for nothing.0

The employees would still be preferential creditors if everything was going t*** up.0 -
Are you paid weekly or monthly? If monthly, then it could be something as simple as the new admin running payroll for the (more usual) last working day of the month.

OP hasn't even logged into the forum since the 24th which is a shame. Hopefully if she does (I'm taking a stab it's a she) then please update this, not just for the people who replied but the next person who searches this not uncommon subject in this forum.0
