For people (OP) attempting to calculate the PIA you need to use your salary as of the end of this FY, which tou may be able to do if the NHS agreed to a multiple year set of rises previously.
Just for information, I recently undertook this calculation (I can as my pension salary increase is limited to 1%, and that is my worse case scenario) and considering the PIA was £0 last year, this year it is almost a quarter of the AA.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
