Good to know my value is based on how cheap I am. What happened to the phrase "Good, Quick, Cheap - you can have any 2"
Have a hug.
I've lost count how many of us you're helped get mortgages and remortgages. You're worth every pound spent and take the stress out of applying for a mortgage.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Your advice has always been spot on, don't take it to heart. Some folk just like being contrary for no reason.1 -

I would like to think I am pretty good at my job but you cant really say that without sounding big headed can you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I'm an IFA. Yet I still used a mortgage broker for my mortgage. It saved me time, hassle and it made sure the right lender was selected from the outset.
And in respect of the comment on free ones being best, you actually are more likely to find the free ones are not anywhere near as good if your case is one that pushes limits on borrowing or has negative issues which could impact on lending decisions. The free ones typically want the easy stuff and do that well. However, the lack of quality shows when the problems occur. Often because the free ones don't actually use qualified and knowledgeable staff to do the processing. Those cheaper staff don't know what to do with problems.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.3 -

I used an IFA when I needed a larger loan than we were generally being offered. They are used to being dishonest so they knew what to say to get the loan I needed.-1

My broker has been brilliant. Honestly it’s just been so much easier to explain something to someone who knows what she is talking about and have them sort everything out for you. It’s also been great to have someone to ask all the silly questions to and ours has sorted out all the insurance for us as well.
I get not wanting to spend money - our broker has a flat fee of £600 which sure is a sizeable chunk of cash… but when you’re spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on a purchase are you really going to quibble about a few extra hundred?0 -
