Starting a book people type club at work

Options
Hi Everyone,

My partner currently sells online and i thought that it would be a good idea to start up a book people type club but with Dvd'd instead (that's what he sells) . I would just do this in my place of work where there are approx 70 people and have asked around and people seem quite keen.

I will need to design a form for people to mark down what they would like to buy and how many etc...but i am having a bit of trouble making it look right using excell i.e it looks extremily basic and boring. Does anyone know where i can download one and then personalise it?

Thanks

Suzanne

  • Hi there

I obviously don't know where you work but i would think that you would need to put a proposal to your office manager first.

You would need to say what you are selling and where you will be storing the money and merchandise during the day.

The last thing they will want is someone complaining they have been sold dodgy (not that i am saying yours is but there is always one who says it is) gear. Or another could be that money or merchandise has gone missing as that will mean the cops would need to get involved.

I'm only saying this cos i am starting up a tuck shop in the office and had to put a business proposal to my Senior manager. I work for courts so we handle money etc every day both as evidence and in witness payments so i had to show that the money would not be kept in the same place.

Would a tuck not work out better for you? People always want to nibble away on something at their desk

If you look on the microsoft website they have lots of templates that might be useful. Its probably quickest to take the bits you like from an existing order form though and format it to your requirements.

You can also e-mail it to people to fill in on the computer rather than printing it off.

I dont think people will mind plain as long as it is easy to fill in.
