I have an in house AVC with my LGPS pension. It is a standard life with profits plan. I have a set retirement age in the plan of 65. What are the consequences of taking an earlier retirement date if any? Thanks.

Can anyone offer any advice? I’ve tried to research what would happen to the bonus payment if I brought the retirement date forward but am struggling to find anything. Thanks0

Have you looked at this guide;

First you need to find out what withdrawal options there are . They might be restricted and it may be necessary to transfer out to another pension ( which is actually quite easy ) . By transferring out you would not normally lose out of any bonuses built up.Pipkin1812 said:I have an in house AVC with my LGPS pension. It is a standard life with profits plan.
