American Student Loan Refinancing Overseas

Hi all, 

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm trying to find options for refinancing my wife's student loan. It's an American private loan (so no access to federal support etc) totalling just over 100k USD with interest in the region of 9% 

The problem that we are currently running into is that the major refinancing companies contacted so far have all stated that she cannot refinance from abroad I.e. she needs to live and work in the US. We live in London and would very much like to be here for the foreseeable (at least until she gets ILR sorted) 

Is anyone aware of any success stories of refinancing from abroad? Either directly or with a US co-signer? We're open to international companies as well if they exist, really anything legit that might reduce the interest rate and/or monthly payments would be appreciated!

NB: We're not interested in lying about where we live, and we can't default the loan without her parents taking a heavy hit to their credit score. These are common suggestions that I've gotten already, so thought I'd clear them in advance!
