Other than Hargreaves Lansdown, are there any other online annuity comparison sites please? Several seem to have disappeared.
We’d be grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks

Annuities can vary greatly depending on your circumstances. They are now a niche area and the companies involved may not appear on comparison sites. This is an area where going via an IFA is by far the best option.2

There are hardly any companies left doing them.0

As mentioned on your other thread, use an IFA. I have seen people who have also got quotes via comparison sites and beaten them every time. Usually because of the haggling stage or the person not declaring issues sufficiently. Plus, in a number of cases, the commission from the comparison site was higher than the advice fee (both collected via the pension).
Also, in most of the cases, the person I was dealing with didn't know about the 2015 changes and would have done a different option via the comparison site without realising that alternative options existed as the comparison site didn't include them.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1 -
Are there any IFAs who will just supply annuity quotes without the full range of services?

I would use an annuity broker. They specialize in this field. They provide quotes without the full range of services but they would also help you to answer any questions, help with the paperwork, etc. There is an annuity comparison tool (but I would still use the broker) https://comparison.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/tools/annuities
Humongous amount of money goes into annuities every year and lots of companies are offering them.1 -

Could you point us to any good annuity brokers please? Not they are not. Most insurers have withdrawn from the market.

Brokers will offer you a non-advised service. This means they’ll explain all the options available, search the annuity market and help you compare.
However, be careful. This can be a cheaper option, but most don't offer advice or tell you which annuity is the best one for you.
The decision is yours and if you choose the wrong one you can't make a complaint or get compensation.
Many brokers will still contact your pension provider for your policy information, handle all the paperwork and deal with the providers for you. Their fee can also usually be taken from the pension.
