Help to buy ISA deposit

Me and my girlfriend are in the process of buying a new build and are ready to pay the deposit. We have been told to keep her help to buy ISA open up until completion before they apply for the government bonus and use the money from my standard ISA account to pay the full deposit.
My question is what would the bonus then go towards if we have already paid the deposit and what happens to the money she has in the ISA?

Anything left over will be refunded to you/her by your solicitor following completion. Take your solicitor's advice on when to close a HTB ISA as they will require the right paperwork at the right time.I am a mortgage broker. You can do whatever you want with the HTB ISA money once you both receive it from your solicitors.
Overpay the mortgage, buy new items for the property or pay for alterations, bills, emergency savings etc0 -
