TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Shell Go Well + Absolute Radio” (On-Air Competition).

 These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition. 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be one competition on Saturday 25th September 2021 and Sunday 26th September 2021 on Absolute Radio  Mid-Mornings, each with one prize package. The presenter will advise when the text lines will open during the show for each competition. When the text linesopen, anyone wishing to take part in the competition should text their full name to 81215. One participant from all entries will be chosen at random and called back to be brought to air to take part in the competition. By coming to air, the presenter will play listeners a clip of an unidentified song, in which the participant will have to correctly identify the band or artist and song title to win the on-air prize for that day. The prize winners will be selected from the persons who successfully text the studio on the number given on-air when prompted to do so and guess the correct answer once they are brought to air to participate in the live competition.   Only upon being brought to air and being told they are the winner, will an entrant become a winner.  There will be 1 opportunity to win per day during the times and dates stated in item 3. The studio number will be given on air and can also be found below.
2.Entry Platforms and Costs	(A)    Text the Absolute Studio on 8-12-15 when told to do so by the presenter    Texts will be charged 50p plus your standard network rate.
3. DATES	Start Date and End Date. There will be 1 x competition round, every day from 25/09/2021 (start date) to 26/09/2021 (end date) on Absolute Radio between 11:00 – 14:00 each day. Specific opening and closing times to be stated by the presenter on the day. Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.  Please note Absolute Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for an event such as a public holiday.  Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Unless otherwise stated the promotion is open to UK, Isle of Man, Channel Island and Republic of Ireland residents, aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter. If you have won a Bauer competition in the past 6 months to the value of £500 or more, you or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. 5. THE PRIZE	On-air Prizes  Saturday to Sunday from 25/09/2021 – 26/09/2021  11:00-14:00  There will be 1x prize winner per day (2 winners in total across the weekend), who will win 1x prize: £1,000 cheque The prize will be provided in the form of a cheque. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS.

a)       Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

b)       One entry per person.

c)        If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d)       The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

e)       We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

f)         You are responsible for all costs of entry.

g)     You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

h)     Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

i)      As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition.

 

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
