Emails from Lantern

Hello,

I keep getting emails from Lantern regarding debts that I supposedly owe. The thing is the debts they are claiming I owe don't show up on my credit reports, so how do I go about telling them this?

You don`t need to respond to emails, texts, or phone calls.

If they ever get around to writing to you, then respond with the "provit letter" -

Letter when you know nothing about about the debt - AKA "Prove it" letter — MoneySavingExpert Forum

Until then ignore.

Or, copy and paste the letter, then send by email, if you prefer.

One reason why they may not still show on your credit file, Lantern like to buy up old statute barred debt, which has long since gone from your file, and then try to extort the full amount from you.
