Bonus eligability

I actually joined one employer literally one day too late to be entitled to the bonus, as I started on the 2nd of the month in which the bonus year started.  I was however told from the outset that was the situation.  There has to be a cut off point somewhere.

Yes, as above with others, my bonus had a qualifying period of 6 months before the end of bonus year, at least 1 year employment if temporary etc. So perhaps its deep in the contract that it goes by a financial year for example, as then you would have only done apr-nov. That should have been clear in contract though. Is there an intranet/employee handbook you can check?
