Oh, and read the ad and make sure you follow any instructions. If my job ad says "Apply by sending a CV and covering letter to John Smith at [email address] or by post to John Smith at 123 The Street, Town", and instead I get a letter with no CV, sent to another e-mail address or addressed to a different member of staff, then the first impression that applicant makes is a negative one, because they haven't followed the simple instructions about how to apply !All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)2
