Almost two thirds (61%) of MoneySavers do most of their shopping online, compared with just over a quarter (27%) who prefer to shop in store (and the rest said they didn't have a preference), a new MoneySavingExpert.com poll has found.

Sorry but that's a completely meaningless survey.
What shopping are you referring to? And what shopping are the respondents referring to?? Of course a lot of elderly are shopping online during the pandemic. And a lot of us had to do clothing shopping or even car shopping online when doing so IRL was impossible.

If you do all your food shopping on-line but buy everything else in store, how would you have voted?0 -
Initially I would have thought the amount of online shopping I do would be quite high, it used to be, but I thought about it and actually I rarely shop online any more because the best prices are in store these days. I mainly buy food so that's cheaper in person (no delivery fee) and I rarely buy any luxuries these days (books, games, music or electronics) which aren't even always cheaper online. I wonder if this explains why U25's don't spend much online while 35-49 year olds do. The younger ones are streaming everything and most of their money is spent on food or local entertainment while older people buy expensive things for their homes
