Compensation if train missed due to tube delay?

I googled this and couldn’t find anything, so apologies if I have missed something obvious.
I am currently commuting 2 days a week from Somerset to London. I’ve booked advance tickets which are obviously much cheaper than walk up fares, the downside being they are only valid on a specific train time that day.
I’m trying to work out what would happen if I missed the train I had booked because the tube/London Underground was delayed / suspended.
- Should the train operator accept my ticket on the next available train?
- If not, would I be entitled to compensation for a replacement ticket?
- If so, who would I claim that from: TFL or train operator?

Any claim would be against the supplier TFL .Should it be accepted on another train depends upon T&C .Suspended / major delays the train company's often put in special provisions regarding tickets .1

Refund of the tube fare for many delays of 15 mins or over.
I would want to be allowing at least 30 mins extra for the connection (I used to walk a couple of miles or jump on a bus for part of the journey on occasion if there were tube issues when I worked in London)

What LU station are you travelling from, and what itinerary do you have in mind? What ticket(s) do you have, or are thinking of buying?1

If you get delayed for more than 15 minutes on the tube you can get your fare refunded from TfL.
Which? implies that under the consumer rights act you could claim for reasonable additional losses if you miss a connection.
Can I claim compensation for train delays and cancellations? - Which?
But I would expect to make it reasonable you will need to ensure you planned a large amount of time for the connection etc.

We would need a lot more information about the journey in order to provide any meaningful advice
