Claiming benefits after medical termination with Pilon

Thank you for taking the time to read.
I recently lost my job through medical termination due to having a number of health conditions making it hard for me to do my job. They tried to find alternative work but there wasn't anything.
I'm getting 12 weeks' Pilon payment but I'll have to use this to pay my mortgage arrears. I'm also in arrears with my council tax.
Is there anything I can claim as it's going to be really hard to find a job quickly that I could do without having the experience and I can't live on my wife's part-time wage.
I understand that the 12 weeks' Pilon should sustain me for a while but I could lose the house if it's not used to pay off my arrears.
Thank you.

Make a claim now for UC and/or new style JSA or new style ESA if you have a medical certificate from your GP. I'm not sure that you will receive any benefits payments for the period covered by the PILON payment as you are receiving pay for that period.

You need to ask this on the benefits board where people have greater experience of such things.1
