Serious Topic - Peanut Butter
Found out some devastating news this morning:
tesco have stopped selling our peanut butter!!!
We used to get ‘nuts about nature 100% peanut butter’ and at 340g for £1.75 it was a good choice.
no added sugar, palm oil and 51p per 100g bargain
anyone got a a good alternative that doesn’t cost the earth?!

Aldi & Lidl both have various "grades" of Peanut Butter (and they also both have Almond Butter, too).
I think that the 100% Nut peanut butter was £1.19 for 280g last time I bought it.

That looks pretty perfect! Last time I checked the one in Lidl (which I admit was a while ago) they only did one with 97% peanuts, and with palm oil.Cornucopia said:Aldi & Lidl both have various "grades" of Peanut Butter (and they also both have Almond Butter, too).

Hiya. Make your own!! It's so simple if you have a food processor/blender. Pick your favourite peanuts, salted, dry roasted, whatever and just blitz them for a few minutes depending on how many you use. Just keep going and it WILL turn into butter.. I promise. You might want to add a little oil or salt etc depending upon your nut choice. AND........ you make it how YOU like it. Done it so many times now. NEVER ever buy it!! ENJOY4

Amazon doesn't carry Equal Exchange organic peanut butter which just contained peanuts. I have two jars left.0
