National Insurance Decision Making Phone Number always busy

Hi,
My daughter applied to get a National Insurance number in may and it has been denied (she is 18), we received the letter a couple of days ago.
I have been calling during the last 4 days the following number 08001412079 and the line is always busy. I have made more than 100 calls....
Do you know or have any other alternatives to get in touch with them.
It is very frustrating to have services that don't work...
Regards,
Andy

Why was her application denied?

That refusal is correct according to https://www.gov.uk/apply-national-insurance-number as she is under 19 (and a UK resident) ..
Most get sent a NI number at 16 and if that's been lost / mislaid / never received it's a different process. They don't issue a new one.
Alternative is for your adult daughter to register for a personal tax account and it may well be her NI number is in there to see?
0300 200 3500 is the number given on the NI webpage link, but there's a (currently busy) webchat facility as well?

If you've been calling it might be a waste of time if you do get through - they aren't going to talk to you as your daughter is an adult and the subject of the query. She needs to pursue it (one for her speed dial, I fear!).AndyW79 said:Hi,

I guess it is because she is under 19 and asked for it for her student loan.
I have tried the webchat and it doesn't work either...

Why not let her deal with this, a good life lesson and not depending on parents.AndyW79 said:
