NatWest mortgage

Hello,
I just wondered if anyone can tell me which credit files NatWest checked if you took out a mortgage with them recently? Which did they check at DIP stage and which did they check at final stages? When did they leave a mark on the file, at DIP stage or final stage?

I think it’s equifax, as I’m sure this is where it showed up on my ‘check my file’ credit report. I believe the mark was left after I made my full application but I think this can be different if you go via a broker.0

Natwest use Equifax for a hard check, but they also do soft identity checks on Experian. I went with a broker, who said they will do a hard check at DIP stage, however, they only did a soft check and completed a hard check at full application. A lot of people who go with a broker will have a hard check completed at DIP stage, but I didn't.0
